Gene Cox Grocery & Meats began in 1962 in a small building across the street from Northeast Louisiana State College (now ULM) in Monroe, Louisiana. Mr. Eugene Cox has successfully run a family-oriented grocery business for nearly five decades in a field dominated by supermarkets and other large companies. Success and the ability to compete comes in this business due to old fashioned, superior customer service, and a passion for what you do — things the big boys simply cannot offer their customers.
We are now located on Arkansas Road in West Monroe, Louisiana. Aside from running a traditional grocery store we maintain the best meat market in the Twin Cities populated with numerous delicious and mouth-watering products — some of our own creation and unique to our market. All of our beef products are Certified Angus Beef, so top notch grade beef is guaranteed.
Our deli is open most of the day, ready to serve everyone who walks in be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a sudden need for something tasty to snack on. A wide selection of traditional American, Southern, and Louisiana fare is available. Catering is also provided for anyone in the immediate area; we will serve any group from 5 to 500 people.
